1.3 Information from Meta & WhatsApp

When you use MConnect's WhatsApp Business integration, we receive information from Meta Platforms, Inc. via the WhatsApp Business API, including:

  • Your WhatsApp phone number and profile name
  • Message content, timestamps, and delivery status
  • Interaction data (clicks, read receipts, opt-in/opt-out status)
  • Device and connection metadata

This data is obtained and processed strictly in accordance with your privacy settings, Meta's applicable policies, and the WhatsApp Business API Terms. We only process this data as necessary to provide and improve our services. We do not use data obtained from Meta for any purpose other than operating MConnect, and we never sell Meta-sourced data to third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To Provide Services: Operate, maintain, and improve MConnect and OutfitFashion services
  • To Communicate: Respond to your inquiries, send service updates, and provide customer support
  • To Process Transactions: Handle orders, payments, deliveries, and returns for OutfitFashion
  • To Send Marketing: With your consent, send promotional communications about our products and services. You may opt out at any time.
  • To Improve Our Platform: Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience and develop new features

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Specifically:

  • Contact form submissions: Retained for up to 2 years
  • MConnect account data: Retained for the duration of your account plus 90 days
  • OutfitFashion purchase history: Retained for 5 years (for tax and legal purposes)
  • Marketing preferences: Retained until you withdraw consent

When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit
  • Encryption at rest for sensitive data
  • Access controls and authentication protocols
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments

As required by Meta's Platform Terms and App Review process for applications using the WhatsApp Business API, we confirm the following:

  • We clearly describe how we collect, use, share, and retain data obtained through Meta products — including WhatsApp Business API
  • We do not sell data obtained through Meta products to any third party
  • We do not use data obtained via Meta products for purposes unrelated to the operation of MConnect, including but not limited to creditworthiness assessment, advertising re-targeting, or eligibility determination
  • We provide this publicly accessible privacy policy with no login or authentication barrier
  • We enable users to contact us with privacy concerns via email, phone, and postal mail
  • We provide a Data Deletion mechanism and Data Deletion Callback URL as required by Meta's App Review
  • We only request the minimum data permissions (scope) necessary for the WhatsApp Business API to function
  • We maintain ongoing compliance with Meta's App Review requirements and WhatsApp Business API Terms
  • All WhatsApp messages sent through MConnect require prior opt-in consent from the recipient, and we provide clear opt-out mechanisms in every message

9. Cookies & Consent

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
